What's Happening

Auburn has one of the most layered histories in the Finger Lakes — a Lincoln cabinet member, an Underground Railroad conductor, a state prison, and a city that refuses to forget any of it. For three nights this October, the Seward House Museum opens its 1816 Victorian rooms for Haunted History Tours, turning the mansion's actual past into an evening worth driving for. This is not a haunted house: it is a guided walk through rooms that belonged to real people who made consequential choices, presented in a season when that weight feels exactly right.
