Lake Placid Film Festival 2026: Four Days of Cinema in the Heart of the Adirondacks

November in the Adirondacks feels like the mountains exhaling — the summer crowds are gone, the ski season has not quite started, and the whole region belongs to people who show up on purpose. The Lake Placid Film Festival fills four days of that shoulder season with award-winning shorts, feature films, and industry panels presented by Adirondack Film at the Palace Theatre. It is a film festival in the way that small film festivals should be: you can actually get a seat next to the filmmaker, walk across the street for a drink afterward, and wake up to Mirror Lake in the morning.
