Run Around Schroon Lake: The Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival on September 26-27
What's Happening
Every September the Adirondacks host a weekend of running that earns the drive on its own terms. The Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival sends marathoners and half marathoners around the full loop of 9-mile-long Schroon Lake — one of the most scenic courses in the Northeast — while the 5K and 10K wind through nearby Chestertown on Saturday. A 4-person relay makes it a team weekend for runners who want the experience without the full distance.

How to Join
Register and find full course information at adirondackmarathon.org. After the race, Paradox Brewery hosts the finish-line celebration at the Sunday race site — a fitting end to an Adirondack weekend.
