Geneva has more stories than most Finger Lakes travelers ever find. On August 20 at 5:30 PM, Historic Geneva Archivist Becky Chapin leads a walking tour through the West and High Street neighborhood once home to a large Black population in the early to mid-19th century. The tour traces the first Black men and women to purchase property here, the rise of a community, and the forces that led to its eventual decline — a chapter of the Finger Lakes that deserves to be known.
