What's Happening

Somewhere in a Geneva archive, there is footage of the Fireman's Parade, a packed Pulteney Park, barbershop singers, a gospel choir, and the Friendship Squares dancing club — all celebrating the city's Bicentennial. On October 3, the Geneva History Museum screens that footage publicly for the first time in a long while: about 40 minutes of a community having a very good day. It is the kind of thing you can only see in a place that has kept its own records.
